Damage policy

McGraw Hill Canada Damage Policy

For receipt of damaged shipments, please report damage within 10 days from time of receipt to our Customer Service Department at 1-800-565-5758. A carrier site visit will be arranged to review the damaged cartons.

Alternatively, you may opt to provide digital images of the damaged boxes and books. This process will expedite your claim. Please use the Damage Notification Form to report the details of your damage and send it to us via email at [email protected] or fax us at 1-800-463-5885.

If you are refusing the shipment at time of receipt, please note this refusal on carrier documents. The shipment will reroute to our warehouse and will be processed as a returned shipment.

If you require a new order, please call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-565-5758. Please note that damaged boxes must be kept to process your request. Claims cannot be processed if boxes have been destroyed.

This policy covers prepaid carrier shipments only. Credits cannot be issued for collect carrier shipments. Please contact your carrier to place a claim with them.

Damaged or Defective Product

  • All damaged product must be reported within 10 days of receipt.
  • Defective product e.g. missing pages, print errors, etc. must be reported within 12 months.
  • Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-565-5758 to report damaged or defective books.
